I haven't really posted any sort of rant or vent or update in a while so...the deal is!!:
I got hired by a retail store in the mall called Coco&Lily where I stand on my feet all day, put clothes, away, help customers (yes, some people are grumpy), and clean up e.g. vacuuming, wiping glass displays, and so on. My stomach doesn't really bother me until I get home, but my feet and back are KILLING me. I have been on pred for almost a year and have never gotten a bone density test to see if there are signs of osteoporosis or osteopenia specifically.
I don't know. I just know that I need this job, but I don't want to make a mistake where I make myself worse. Things have started getting a lot better as far as Crohn's goes because I have been pretty careful for the most part as far as diet is concerned, have really seen improvement on Align probiotics, and am still at 10 mg of prednisone.
Just wanting opinions...and advice from anyone who has ever worked retail. I know that I can at least try to keep this job until I find one that doesn't cause more medical problems (if this one does I mean), but I just don't want it to be too late. I work at 11:00 tomorrow until some unknown time and then am schedule from 12:00 to 7:00 on Saturday for the weekend rush.
And just a side edit/note: The girl who is training me is super sweet, but she said the boss is watching the store ALL THE TIME and doesn't want anyone sitting behind the counter or just sitting there so we have to be on our feet doing something the entire time we are there.
