Hello everyone...I had an ileocecectomy about 5 weeks ago due to an obstruction at my TI. Everything was going according to plan until my 3rd week when my stomach started hurting again after I ate. I contributed this pain to my intestines just getting used to eating again and hoped that surely my crohns wasn't coming back this soon in the game. I did have some drainage during my 2nd week but the nurse told me it was normally, that it was old blood and fluid getting out of the site but then there was no pain and no red areas. This pain has now proceeded to get much worse and is located beneath my incision scar. There is pus coming out at the end of my scar in one little area and this is scabbed over because it never healed well due to the drainage causing the suture here to fall off. I am more worried about the area above my belly button because there is a bulge, like a mass now, that developed really today, that is hard and now is warm. The area is slightly red more pink but is attached and no leakage of pus or anything. I am worried about infection under the skin or maybe a incisional hernia or something else. It has really started to hurt badly today. It hurts really really bad if you press on it. I must admit, I was having some problems this past weekend with the incision down where it had pus but not where it is hurting so bad now. I did not go the MD Friday because my daughter had fieldtrip out of town and i have disappointed so much with this disease already. I am sure you can relate. Then Monday, I decided to wait till this Friday because I am due my appt with my surgeon but now I don't know if I can wait another day. This got worse so fast today. Any suggestions?? Anybody had complications after surgery or know what could be wrong??
