I've had the full spectrum of this "disease" but now something new is creeping up and I need some help/advice!!

For the last 2 weeks or so....I haven't been able to eat more then 3-4 bites or swallows of anything without wanting to throw up, my throat hurts constantly, when I do throw up it's bile with blood, I have canker sores that have developed and aren't going away and the strangest thing.....Im not pooping much!! a little here and there but not the all mighty pooping that we all experience.  I am going to the hospital tonight, but am not exactly sure what I should say to the admitting staff...? ACK!

It sounds like you could very well have some narrowing/blockage going on. Are you in pain at all? Usually with an obstruction I get pain that comes in waves much like labor pains, no bm's, can't pass air in either direction, and eventually I will start vomiting up bile. I still am concerned for you because of your inability to eat much. When you go to the ER, I would let them know you think you may have an obstruction. Good luck and let us know how it goes.

If that is going on right now Allison, I would not wait until tonight. I would go ahead and go now, no need to suffer.

Yup, get to the hospital ASAP. They can give you something for the pain even before they start to do any testing, and you will feel so much better. (((HUGS)))

I would go to the hospital, the pain is only going to get worse. Don't try to tough it out.

How are they treating it? Did they keep you for awhile, are you feeling better? Let us know how you are doing.

Im ok, just the usual tired and crampy. They kept me overnight, and did a endoscopy and dilated the area. Apparently im "overly sensitive" to my bowel movements. Im not kidding, thats what the Dr. on duty at Emerg. said. If looks could kill, my husband's look would have shot him to the moon and back!

Thanks for the giggle Allison, I'm sure my husband has felt the same.

Last visit to the hospital after waiting for 7 hours while throwing up from pain, the doctor told me to eat more fibre! Like fibre is going to help a blockage even if it wasn't a big no-no for me. Constipation... what's that? I'm not sure I've ever experienced it. Is it when you only have to go bm 5 times a day??? Now that I've read your post and the replies I know for sure it was some sort of obstruction. If that's what labor feels like, I'm not sure I want kids *smile*. On the bright side it did resolve itself in 2 days. I'm glad I had lots of dilaudid.

You are not "overly sensitive" to your bowel movements!!!! That's just a cop out for "I don't know for sure why you hurt, but it must be your fault because I'm perfect and I never miss anything". Keep your head up girl, it does get better even if it takes years.
