hey, i was just wondering if anyone else here experiences bad pain when trying to go to the toilet? i will get intense pain sometimes, sometimes mild when i need to have a movement and its hard to get anything to out. and i have to sit there for a while. it worries me!

i had a lot of pain this morning. lasted 1/2 hour after i was done. i was going to ask the same Q but you got to it b4 me. lol. i dont have trouble going, i just get cramped up real bad.

i cant talk for everyone else but theres to of us right here.

Yep, they're called angry poos in my house, pain so bad you sweat and wonder if you'll pass out or be sick!

I have these "angry poos" all of the time. After the 2nd BM for the day, mine start to get painful which I assume are the hemorrhoids kickin in. Everything starts to swell and gets more and more painful. I start to sweat and have to take off my shirt sometimes. The doctor prescribed analpram which does help a LOT. I would ask your Dr. about this.

But if it is a SHARP pain that keeps throbbing for sometime after your BM (I am talking hours). Then you could have a fissure and they hurt like a son of a #%$@! I would have a BM and it was so painful. I could have a BM before I went to bed and after waking up 7 hours later I would still be in pain. If this is the case, soak in some really warm (not hot) water and call your Dr.

When my flares start getting bad (bloody D), I get pretty intense pain in the rectum during BM's. It gets bad enough that I wish I had heavy-duty painkillers. It also often coincides with acute nausea. Then once everything's out the pain and nausea pass.

thanks for the responses, least there are others out there! not that that's a good thing really! i get the pain in my rectum too sometimes..no fun..

does anyone have any solutions to the straining that goes along with it? it's like a workout in itself just to get something to come out! and its often the tiniest amount that does.

i was having pain so bad it made me throw up...it was horrible...seems to have rectified itself for the time-being...it was so bad i wasn't eating...lost 35 lbs!

I am always relieved when i log on to this site. I have has the same thing happening for some time now. The pain can be very intense and will throb. When things are real bad I start sweating lke crazy and instantly start removing clothing. I also start running a low grade fever after the second trip to the toilet. This fever can last the whole day.

I started using Konsyl (on grocer shelf beside metamucil, that really works. It coats my intestines, even diarrhea use to hurt while passing. I mix 3/4 tsp in 2 oz water, drink quickly. Have a bottle or glass plain water to chase as you are suppose to drink , I think 8 oz with it. I don't mix it with the entire glass of water tho! The Dr can prescribe Proctofoam if you are bleeding.

Sounds exactly like what I had. If you have an intense pain and the throbbing continues, you could possibly have a fissure. Never hurts to get it checked out. I was sure glad I did.

I only get pain when I've been to the toliet to many times in a day. I know that my hemmies are angry and I pray for no more bathroom trips for a while so that they can settle down. My pain is more like a burning pain.

To help with the straining, try bringing your knees up (rest your feet on the loo seat) in a kind of squatting postion, this helps me, and how funny the sweating and stripping whilst your going, I can't tell you the number of times I've ended up sat there with nothing on dripping wet! Then after I've finished had to lie down on the bathroom floor for half an hour.
