Rectal Pain....

Ick. This is so unpleasant to talk about... I am not sure really what to do about it.

I had an abscess, but was put on flagyl & azulfidine. The flagyl reduced the size, and once I started azulfidine, I think it went away. Only problem is, now I am having pain inside my rectum. Not sure what it is... a lot of burning pain & pressure. It feels like it's swollen. It's uncomfortable to sit & move & do just about anything. My BMs have been frequent & soft, so it's not constipation that's causing it. I have not noticed any blood lately. I have had quite a bit of abdominal pain though. Anyway, I have tried baths & used medicated wipes, but the burning & pain is still horrible. During & after BMs is the worst & it lasts a while, too. It's so very uncomfortable, but not like the pain from the perianal abscess, that was different. What do I do? Sex is even uncomfortable....

All advice is totally appreciated.

I was just at the GI at the beginning of the month. I was worried about my bum bump, but that is gone now. She said to call if it started draining or if I lost weight. I have not lost any weight, and the bump seems gone, but now this. I am so sore. I do have a small internal hemmy, but I haven't had any straining or constipation lately for me to think it could be that, besides, that internal thing never hurts, I didn't even know I had it.

I am even walking funny & I don't want anyone to pick up on why I am walking like I have stick up my butt...
