Taking Humira earlier than scheduled/Traveling with Humira

Hi there,

Has anyone taken Humira early due to travel plans?

I lost all my ice packs in the midst of my recent move and CVS is out of them (really) and I have no car to get to the grocery store. In addition, I'm traveling for well over 12 hours tomorrow and the longest trek I've done is 8, so I'm fairly nervous.

I usually take my medication on Sunday, so I was considering taking it tonight. I know you can take Humira up to three days late without changing your schedule, which essentially means the time between your next dose is 3 days shorter, so it doesn't seem like it would be an issue. Am trying to get a hold of my doc right now, but I don't know if they're in the office today...

Any insight is appreciated!

I've changed the day I do mine several times, but usually only by a day at a time and most of the time I then stick to that new day for a while.  I would just worry that if I moved it up 3 days and then tried to go without for an extra 3 days the next time to stick to the original schedule, that I would be miserable for those 3 days.  But, I'm one who can really tell when I'm due for a shot anyway, and you might not notice it as much as I do.
