Humira/6MP combo is making all my root canals FAIL, UGH....

Hi everyone, Just another thing to add for us to keep in mind and potentially deal with, I've been on Humira in addition to my 6MP since October, and have been having the worst dental problems since December. At first I thought it was coincindental, but as I'm learning more, it isn't. At this point, I"ve had to have three tooth extractions, the three teeth had previously had root canals done years ago, ( I"ve been on 6MP alone for like 6 years), and all of a sudden, one after the other, they started killing me. They each got horrible infections that wouldn't go away with antibiotics, one infection got so bad and spread to my sinuses so severely, I needed sinus surgery as well. Well, yesterday, my oral surgeon who was about to pull my third failed tooth told me he sees this a lot in immunosuppressed people, root canals, he says, are not "sterile" and the small amount of bacteria they leave behind are great sources for an infection to start for us... Just a word of warning. I"m getting off of Humira and taking my chances for now. When does this all end??

I to have been on Imuran and Remicade (just did my fisrt 4 shots of Humira today) But I get horrible bad cavity's. I get it filled and then it comes back. At first my dentise thought I wasn't brushing, but after I told him the meds I take he relized. So far lucky tho havn't had any effections. I hope it's not actually the Humira and maybe the Imuran. (I get stop taking those sooner) not so much with Humira.
