So I finally found one, and I think he's a keeper! After my last visit to an Urgent Care Center, the doctor on staff set up an appointment for me with a new GI, and it has been such a blessing. I saw him just a few days after that (just last week). He had started me on prednisone before I had even seen him, and put me back on Imuran to work along with the Humira. He also gave me script
s for pain, nausea, and something to help me sleep. I felt like, "Finally! Someone is listening to me and is not going to let me suffer!" He then ran some bloodwork and scheduled me for a small bowel follow through (yuck!). He said it is possible we may be looking at another surgery, which I'm really hoping is not the case, but you never know. I'm hoping these meds will clear up any lingering problems in there. Either way, he said he would do scopes and any and all tests needed before we ever thought about
surgery.
I had the sbft yesterday at the hospital, and I don't know the results yet, but I'm praying for good news! I start a new job in just a few weeks, so I'm hoping all is well. Btw, I called yesterday to see about getting one of my scripts changed, and I actually spoke to HIS nurse. She said she would call me right back. She called back probably 10 minutes later to ask where to call the prescription into! I am very impressed... and grateful.
