Any connections between Crohn's disease and thyroid nodules?

Not really sure. I was hyperthyroid back in 2002-2003, but they say mine was caused by a med I was on for atrial fibrillation. I took thyroid meds for about
18 months and haven't had problems since.

I have Hashimoto's thyroiditis and had a biopsy of a nodule done back in December. Thyroid disease is also auto-immune, but there is no connection other than that, that I know of.

I had one back when I was in college...about
8 yrs pre-crohn's. They removed it and half of my thyroid with it.

I am hyperthyroid..because i have Lupus..which i hear...that Lupus can actually cause inflammation which could have lead to my crohn's...i would say yes..i really believe its possible for crohns to have an effect on your thyroid
