any advice for a cold?

          i just got diagnosed wit crohn's in march of this year and iv been dealing with it pretty good, but there's one thing i've never been sick during this time. im taking prednisone, asacol, and azothiaprine. (sorry about the spelling) i just got a cold a day ago and it's hit me pretty hard and i have a cough, a fever, and bad chest pain. all i've been taking is cough drops but it doesn't really help any.... is there something i can take that maybe somebody else has tried and work to make me feel a little better for school?

Hmmm....fever? Chest pain?...AND on prednisone and AZP...get thee on the phone to a doctor, NOW...or even urgent care. On immunosupressents, colds and other infections can get nasty fast. I had a "cold" and in less than 24 hours, I went to urgent care, my pulse ox in the low 80's- to 70's...had to stay there for 5-6 hours, monitoring me, giving me a breathing treatment(went home with meds too, including and inhaler, and I don't have asthma)...I say this, cuz, as stated before, even a "cold" can turn nasty.
