In July I was in an accident. My son was driving a Honda Chuck Wagon (think golf cart crossed with a 4-wheeler) when he lost control and slammed into a tree at about 20 mph. I had a horrible black and purple bruise from hip to hip, which was very painful especially on my left side. I took the full force of the crash on the seatbelt.  It felt like I had been cut in two.  It took about three weeks for the bruising to completely resolve. I've had two c-sections in the past (2000 & 2002) and so have a lot of scar tissue in my lower abdomen. Something felt like it had been ripped loose on that left side. Now I have a fatty knot near my left hip as a result of the accident, which seems to be permanent. It does not hurt. Ever since that accident however I have had flat, ribbon like stools. Do you think I have traumatized my intestines? I did tell my doctor about this and he acted like it was no big deal.
