Okay, so, you already know that my husband has been going through these flare ups for about
10 years or so now. And I mentioned that this year, he's already had 5 flare ups or more- the longest lasting 10 days- he still has minor cramps now.. but no diarrhea, etc...
So, we go for colonscopy, endoscope, and ct scans- had those all done- my husband had much blood work done- etc..
so, this has been week three since we first saw the doctor in his office- at that time, he said to my husband you are depressed, etc.. well of course, he is.. he's been sick and lost much weight for over a year now.
so, he has the colonoscopy done, and a ct scan done the same week- the doctor's nurse calls and says the doctor said too much fat was in his stool, he needs to be on digestive enzymes.
Yet, when his regular doctor checked his pancreatiddc enzymes they were all in the normal range-
we still have not seen the doctor- because his appointment is not until next week-
I mentioned that the diff says crohn's or colitis or, or, or.
The doctro said he has ibs- depression and diverticulosis---- but he puts him on digestive enzymes... this does not make any sense.
And i've never heard of a doctor having his nu rse give us instructions, but not tell us anything, really.
We really don't know why he is on these meds.
He told him to stay on his omeprazole after his endoscope was done, but thats all we've had contact with the doctor since any of his tests.
Whta the heck!!! When I look up what creon is used for-- it is for a pancreas that is not working right- yet... according to his doctor, his enzymes were fine- doesn't make sense to me.
