Went to the HOSPTIAL! That was ROUGH!

Hey all,

Just a little update. I went to the hosp. thur from work. I ate something got sick and hadnt eatin in 2 days and my stomach and left side pain was so bad. They still couldnt figure out what was  wrong. A admitting nurse had chrons and she says I fit it to a T and not to give up. Since I see GI dr. on 19th. Needles to say I was triaged for pain. I was given zofran and diluadid. Which at first going in made my stomach cramp so bad I started crying till it passed and has now made me constipated. UGH. They did a CT with IV contrast and my heart flipped out from the contrast. Gave the a big scare. It finally calmed down but they said I need to tell anyone who wants to do CT what happend with my heart. SCARY.

Then they did trans-vag ultrasound because CT showed to much fluid in pelvic area(NOT WHERE PAIN WAS)!!!!!! And said I had cyst rupture and I have engorved veins on my pelvic floor. Needles to say 9 hrs later, I was triaged for pain and Discharging ER DR. said she thinks I have chrons to but GI dr, will need to do another colonoscopy(been 3yrs) and new biopsies ect and probably endoscopy again. She thinks from my symptoms I probably have it too. But I tell you most Dr.'s dont believe in the blood work that shows if your more prone for chrons/UC.

But know 1 will give me a answer why my IGG's and IGA's are through the roof for the last year. Anyways, Im just praying this new dr. will be senstive and understanding and push things and listen. Im so dang aggervated. I just wanted to up date you all and hope you have a good weekend. THANK YOU!!!!!

Geez sounds like what it was like for me when I was being diagnosed except, obviously, for the cyst. Some doctors can be real pricks and lack understanding, especially with something like Crohn's where you might not necessarily look that sick. Sometimes you have to burn through the loser doctors to find a good one

Thank you guys for you caring. Its nice to talk to people who understand. Im 5'2 and 111pds. My healthy (before sick) I always weighed around 135, now it s been a year and cant gain more then 4 pds and keep it on.

I have had celiacs full panel test already because my aunt had it and recently died of pancretic cancer. Neg. for that and Candidia. Only thing that stays super High is IGA and IGG's?

Goodness girl you are getting the run around!! Hope you have some definitive answers soon, its so hard to get the right people listening but once they do we can just hope and pray they move fast :)

I know all this stuff is confusing? LOL All I know is I had a celiac's panel that was normal and then blood work for(saccromycess cervasie)? dont know how to spell I guess something to do with brewers yeast. I have had it done twice in 6months apart and they were out the roof but the first test they did include something for U/C that 1st one was elevated then when we repeated again in 6 months the U/C blood work was normal but (sacc.....ect)test was still super high just like the first.

I tell you this crohns mystery is the hardest thing I've seen to be diagnosed and so many dr.s are so willing to say no to it? I dont understand that. It's so aggaervating for me to work in the health field and get blown off so much.

That's why when I work with my patients, no matter what I think or can see I believe people suffer even if we cant see it or understand them. Look at what we go through....
