anxiety over the H1N1

I have just been so anxious lately worried about this flu going around while having crohn's. My doctors office does not have any of the shots yet.

I got the flu, and everything was okay. They prescribed Tamiflu, I got plenty of rest and fluids, etc. etc.
I have not gotten the shot...but I don't plan to for a lot of reasons.
Anyway, just be as careful as you can, and don't overdo it. I hope you're feeling all right otherwise.

Thank you so much for your response it made me feel alot better. As for my crohn's well it is up and down. I am taking Imuran though i dont really know how much it is helping I do know my white blood count is finally down to normal. So how long was you sick with the flu if you dont mind me asking and what symptoms did you have? What started the anxiety with me is my daughter was sick last week with a headache and fever a little nausea so i took her to see the doctor on Wednesday and they said it was N1H1 she had no cough or anything elce just headache and fever so I just dont believe that was N1H1 but i could be wrong. anyway thanks again for your response

I have been taking the normal precautions. I avoid people who are sick, I wash my hands frequently, try to keep my hands away from my face, and at work 3 times a weeks I clean the machines around me with Lysol wipes. Not only protecting my coworkers, but also myself. I also got a seasonal flu shot, and a pneumonia vaccine. As soon as the H1N1 shot is available I plan on getting that too. Good luck!

My wife and I got our H1n1 shots yesterday at a neighborhood highschool. There was very few kids there, mostly adults and seniors. They were set for a high volume but they sure did not get it. I don't fit the usual profile but as soon as I mentioned "immune suppressed," I was good to go along with my wife as caregiver.

It was free of course and we were in and out in 30 minutes.
