it's so nice to find this site to vent. i am a new member so let me introduce myself. i'm a southern belle from louisiana. a nurse by education, a social butterfly by nature. i was diagnosed with crohns in 1998 but i think i have had it for most of my life. my crohns is pretty bad, i have tried a lot of treatments but never seem to go into full remission. i did remicade few years when i first got diagnosed but developed an antibody & went into shock twice so of course i had to stop that. been on humaria for a couple of years & its doing ok. just had my first abscess & fistula a few weeks ago & had two Seton drains put in. did ok untill last weekend & had a bad flare. got put in hospital & just got out today. after 10 iv bags of cipro 10 iv bags of flagel , about
a gallon of steroids and a bunch of pain meds im doing ok i guess. so now im still in a pretty good bit of pain & look like im going to pop (all the steroids) but im home & i hope on the mend.
each day with this disease is a challenge but i am looking forward to getting to know many of you on this site. when you have the support of people who understand it helps in so many ways.

Ow. It sounds as if you've had a really rough time there.
Welcome to the forums, Azalee, and thanks for taking the time to introduce yourself. It's nice to meet you.
Ivy.
