flare up on remicade????

My 8 yr old has been on Remicade since 4/09 and has been doing very well. Of course she still gets occasional stomach aches which usually occur a week or so before her next infusion. My question is this.... she had a bout of diarrhea yesterday. This has been the first time she has had diarrhea and it worries me. She saw her GI today and she said that one can get diarrhea occasionally but I need more reassurance. Is this normal? She ate dinner after she had the diarrhea and was fine. She had a belly ache this morning, but no BM yet. Is this a flare or is this normal? Thoughts anyone????

I certainly wouldn't worry about it. I've been on remicade for 5 years now, and I will have my occassional bad day. Back in May I had a really bad 2 weeks, but my next remicade after that took care of it. Maybe you need to move her infusions up a week. We just moved mine from 8 to 6 weeks as I wasn't lasting the 8 weeks any more.
