Not sure if anyone knows the answer to this.....I recently had a colonoscopy and was diagnosed with proctitis. But then my doctor ordered the new 7 panel IBD test for me. The nurse called me and told me that my results were consistent with IBD and chrons. I haven't had my follow up appt yet but I'm trying to figure out if this means I have chrons. I don't have the actual numbers from my test yet. Any ideas? Thanks!!

I don't think you'll know for sure until you discuss it with your GI!

I would assume your GI took biopsies during the scope. If so, ask what they showed. If they showed granulomas, that is a very strong indicator that points to Crohns. If not, it would not rule it out.

You have probably already figured this out Erica, but diagnosing Crohn's Disease is difficult. I sometimes think it is as much art as science. Try not to worry about
it too much while waiting for your dr appointment as worry does harm but no good.
Good luck with your appt. and please let us know how it goes.
