Horrible Night Sweats any tips

I have had horrible night sweats. I have had to litteraly change my clothes last night it was as if i fell in a pool. What do u all do when u have night sweats or how have u dealt with them in the past?

I just started Humira for crohn's and took second dose today and have noticed this also. I always had a few night sweats here and there but now since starting it, happens almost everynight to the point i have to change also . I haven't looked into this and what might help but I have an appt. soon and am planning on asking him. The nurse I spoke with seems to think maybe i am going through menepause. I don't think so yet as I am only 35 and have it way more now since starting. I love how they push it off to something else so readilly. Have u noticed any other sideaffects like slight tremor in hands or nausea ,headache,or hair thinning? If so, does it go away?I am hoping these symptoms will subside soon as I feel they are directly related.

Doc - are you on prednisone or Entocort? Night sweats can be a sign that your blood sugar is out of whack, you should tell the doc about it and if you're on a steroid, which can definitely cause blood sugar problems, I suggest getting a fasting blood glucose test done.

I also had bad sweating once I got over 15mg of prednisone, under I was ok. Recommend fans at night that really helped me.

If I eat wheat I get nasty night sweats, dont eat any wheat for the day and see if its any better that night.

I get night sweats with wheat...but found out I had sugar problems which was causing low's in the middle of the night.

Oh the night sweats, horrible. I hope they subside soon for you. I always thought it was fever in the middle of the night or something, never thought about blood sugar being the problem. It finally passed for me after about a month or so of having them. Hang in there and ask the Doc what he/she thinks if you are able.
