To the ladies,
I was wondering how many ladies here have had kids after they have been diagnosed with crohns. How hard was it for you to get preggo? Any info will help! I also have just got my first abscess.

I am 18 week pregnant with my first. I had no problems to get pregnant but my doctor made me start the prenatal vitamins 6 month before strating, also a year before he re did all the test on my such as a colonoscopy and the barium test to see where I was at with my crohn as when you are pregnant if something goes wrong they cannot do these tests on you. It's been 10 years that i have been diagnosed with crohns.Good luck to you if you have any question please feel free to ask me.

I had all three of my girls after I was diagnosed. I did not have any problems getting pregnant, in fact if my husband blinked too hard I was pregnant. We have had many Mommy's on this very board give birth to healthy babies while being on meds such as Pentasa, Imuran, Remicade and Humira. The thought is a healthy mom produces a healthy baby.
