Hello everyone,
I am Charlene - a 35 year old woman who was diagnosed with Crohn's about 6 years ago. I have always doubted my diagnosis, because I have always been really lucky with symptoms and haven't taken any drugs since some Pentasa after my original diagnosis - although the doc said he was 90% sure it was Crohns after a biopsy. Either way, I just keep going every day and see what happens! I think I might be out of denial this week though because for a few weeks I have had bad aches and pains in all my joints and on Tues, Thurs, and Friday of this week I had a fever that ranged from 99.5 - 102 - it would start in the afternoon and get worse, I would get chills and be SO cold (but hot) and then it would pass overnight and be better in the morning. Fatigue - but no diarrhea or pain or any flu symptoms. I am anemic and was taking iron earlier in the week and that caused pain and upset so I stopped. Anemia has been an on-going battle although I have also always had heavy periods. I was also trying to eat better and was eating a lot more fiber than usual so I am wondering if that caused some symptoms. I have not had a fever since Friday night and am feeling better - no more achy joints and not too fatigued. My question for all of you is about whether or not I need to see my Doc. Maybe my fever was related to something else? I am thinking that if I keep feeling better (without fever etc) than there is probably no need to go see her? If I did go see her what would she do or what would be the point? Looking for your group wisdom!!
With thanks!
