I just have to post about
Digestive Advantage Lactose Intolerance formula....it may not work for everyone, but it seemed to put my son into remission prior to his diagnosis and is the only thing that seems to keep the pain away now.
He had debilitating stomach pain and couldn't eat for weeks. Went to the GI and scheduled endoscopy and colonoscopy. But in the meantime, I had to give him something! My son had alot of gas pain and bubbling and I thought dairy might be an issue, so I bought Digestive Advantage - Lactose Intolerance (it has a strong probiotic in it). Within 3 days, he was 95% improved and eating and was getting better and better so I cancelled the colonoscopy and said to the Doctor, how can this be Crohn's? I think he's lactose interolant. We repeated his blood work 6 weeks later and his SED rate was back to normal.
We scheduled him for a lactose intolerance test (which came back negative). How could this be? My son refused to take the pills since he's said...what's the point? I'm not lactose intolerant. We stopped the pills and then we followed through with all the other tests and he was diagnosed with Crohns. Since then he's on Pentasa and all kinds of supplements as well as Primadolpholis probiotics....still had random pains. Switched the probiotic to the Lactose Intolerance pills - 2x a day (hey, they worked once...) and since then he's had absolutely no pain whatsoever!!
I'm so happy to hear my son say, "I've haven't had any pain at all in a while." He's doing really well and he's healthy. Just had to share this. We follow up with the GI next week and do blood work...hope it all comes back normal. And I hope he stays like this...I hate the unpredictability of this disease.
