Weird...just as I was looking into this, so too was my hubby...from a technical blog site.

I've worked in the state health labs and have seen the rise in measles and measles deaths...I guess this guy was acting unethically as he had a conflict of interest because he was involved with companies trying to create other alternatives to vaccination. GMC, the UK regulators, are going to sanction him and his co-horts and they may even lose their licenses.

I know that I have a hyper-reactive reaction to vaccines (which I think is related to my Crohn's, Arthritis, and PSC), but I prefer that to the alternative of not being vaccinated.

i think this is more clearly interpreted, that, if you had an allergic reaction to any vaccine as a child, then this is an indication of the genetics that you have. unfortunately not a good way to find out. basically it is not the vaccine that causes the disease, in a sense the vaccine is the disease, and when administered to a genetically suseptible person then there is a adverse immune reaction. there is no actual cure for measles.

Sorry, but I'm not with the medical establishment on this one. There is absolutely no proof either way.

BUT plenty of anecdotal evidence from parents who have seen their kids change within two weeks of getting a vaccine.

AND we know the adjuvant in vaccines triggers inflammatory action.

If I had a young 'un this would be a tough call for me.

I had to get a repeat MMR vaccine when I started college (something about the one I had as a child not being effective). I had never experienced such horrible joint pain! My knees and ankles felt like they were being ripped apart with every step (which is dang fun when you have to walk to classes all over campus). The doctor I saw at the health center didn't believe me that the MMR did it. But it most certainly did! IMHO, vaccines and autoimmune diseases are not a good mix.

My daughter had the regular schedule of immunizations.
My son, 3 yrs later...had the MMR split up over time...makes sense to me that bombarding the immune system with 3 diseases and mercury at the same time in a young baby/child is not wise. I have friends that chose to not immunize at all which I do not agree with entirely either, but they have had no problems, yet. I also have friends who watched their child 'disappear' affter the MMR. Sorry, there is something to it.
I think we all just have to be responsible parents and make the best decisions we can because no one else looks out and cares for our kids like we do.
