Don't you just love "helpful" people?

The worst are family and friends who look at you and your Crohn's caused weight loss and say, "Man, I wish I had Crohn's like you!"

My friends are the worst in this regard...

I take so much crap for being flaky with going out to eat, working out, etc...

I don't think people realize that our entire LIFE revolves around our bowels, and that our status can change at any moment.

We lived with my Grand father in law, so he knew what I ate, I cooked all the meals and he ate with us. He would tell me all the time about how my husband's cousin is allergic to peanuts and that is just the worst thing in the world. Not to be able to eat peanuts. How horrible! I'm sitting there thinking, OK, I don't eat any fruit, vegetables, half the proteins in the world, and a whole bunch of other things, but Ya it must really stink not to be able to eat one thing!!!!

My Stepmother keeps asking me what vegetables I would like when she invites us over for any occasion. Its been ten years, she's never seen me eat a vegetable, I've told her a dozen times I don't eat vegetables. duh

Some people will never get it.

I always just say thanks for the info I have to ask my doc about this ;)
