i'm to start remicade as soon as i get tb test, but I have hep C stage 1 only, i am on imuran and pred. but imuran side effects are not great, no appetite, is remicade easier or harder to adjust to and is it harder on one's liver? I have probably a month to say either yes or let me try imuran longer, who else to ask but this forum. thanks

Both can potentially inflame the liver, however you should be monitored closely while on each med for liver issues. I'm on both Remicade and 6MP. Recently my liver enzymes came back elevated. Dropped down to 75mg 6MP and they are normal now. As long as the liver tests are normal, neither should really be bothering the liver.

Normally remicade is given 5 to 10mg/kg every 8 weeks, or 6 weeks and in bad cases could be 4. Rarely
