Im tired from the narcotics which i have to be on and i also feel a bit icky or dehydrated. Im trying to stay hydrated and i REALLY need to start this methotrexate already..

Why am I such a wuss.. LOL

You are not a wuss, it is a concerning drug, but you have been on more dangerous drugs. If you would feel more comfy with having a nurse inject you then do that.
Just think of it as being possibly one step closer to really getting some relief.

No no... hahaha Navy.. I Love needles. Pantomimists and nurses think im nuts. Its not the needle. It's the unknown of feeling like Crap. Never needed Zofran in my life. Than again.. i may not have any side effects.

Bear in mind I needed zofran way before I tried MTX. So you may not need it at all.

And you're right that you may not have any ill side effects! My worst situation since starting is that this stupid cold is now on day 11. But, it's lasted about 2 weeks for my co-workers too. Of course they are not on immune suppressing meds. I really don't notice the mtx at all... I'm still hoping it's that way for you too.

Sr, you said you were in the same situation as me and Navy, where we both been on remicade and TNF's.

Is MTX really making a difference for you?

I'm scared to get too optimistic, but I think so. My pain seems to be a bit less... I'm at 6 weeks. I should know if it's a coincidence or related by next week. But I do think it's going to help me. Don't know if that means a response or remission (I wish!) but anything would be good right now. I'd love to start going back to a more "normal" life. I sometimes feel like I'm in hiding. :-(

This is kind of my last thing before surgery. or trials or who knows. But than again were all different. Maybe some type of remission. I need to put on like 20 pounds

Well, I've spent 3.5 years in a constant flare and have rejected/not responded to any med out there since I lost Remicade. At 6 weeks, "just a bit" feels like good news. Remember it takes a while for the mtx to really kick in and help.

PS - This cold is killing me. That also makes it hard to really evaluate. I'm completely exhausted, my eyes hurt, my nose is totally congested... Hard to know if I'm feeling more energy / doing better Crohn's wise when the cold has got me so low. I really feel like MTX is going to help me... So long as my blood work continues to come back ok.

One more positive sign - my temps have been pretty much normal the last two weeks... Again coincidence or mtx? I need more time to know, but I'll take what I can get!
