2nd day on Entocort 9mg

Hi everyone :)

Today is my second day using Entocort. I haven't had any side effects that I can notice for sure, but I actually do feel like my pain is going away... My ascending colon area is calming down and it doesn't feel totally swollen today. I don't have as much pain in the ileocecal valve area either... I don't want to get my hopes up, but I do think it might be working already.

The only thing that could be a side effect, but not sure, is yesterday and tonight I feel just slightly queasy and a lack of appetite. I don't know if this is from the Entocort or not, but it's not bad at least. It does go away after I do a poopie though... I have been way more active the last couple of days so that might be it also, as my abdomen is still sore and maybe I'm doing too much too soon.

Other than that, I'm kinda hopeful :) I'll be so happy when I don't have any pain!!!

yep.. my second day too.

I haven't noticed much improvement yet... have a monster headache all the time though, I too feel very queasy and no appetite..but I haven't had much of an appetite since december. Still having the urgency though.. but doctor did tell me it may take two weeks for me to feel an improvement...

Entocort is a topical steroid so it can work in matter of days to weeks. Glad your feeling better.
Juner, hang in there. It will kick-in. Im on entocort also. Been using it for years.

If you read my other post, I'm feeling horrible tonight... But I don't think it's the Entocort, I feel that it is actually helping with my right sided issues, now my symptoms are on the transverse and upper left side of my abdomen.. GEEZ.. Plus feeling queasy and light headed is a real drag... I took a Xanax and I'm hoping that it calms me down enough to feel a bit better.. I did stop taking Pentasa as my GI said I could since I started the Entocort, but he said to continue it if I thought it were helping so I think I'm going to resume it tomorrow in addition to the Entocort... JEEPERS... that plus all the vitamins and nexium and wellburtin will total something like 15 pills a day... EEK...
