If your inflimation is located in your terminal ilium than you should probably notice a big difference. If you are in a real bad flare, you may not in just 2 weeks.

I just started Entocort 3 days ago and I do notice a difference already. I also am taking Pentasa.. I did make the mistake though of stopping the Pentasa for 2 days when I started the Entocort, and started having issues with the left side of my colon. (at least that's what it felt like) The reason for the Entocort is I have right sided pain and bloating on the right side, and the Entocort has already gotten rid of the bloated feeling, but the pain is still not gone all the way, but it is getting better. I have had NO side effects at all, except for maybe having a harder time falling asleep and staying asleep, but I have meds for that :)

Why is he only having you try it for 2 weeks? If you have improvement is your GI going to prescribe you a longer prescription? I think the normal for taking it is 8 weeks.. but I have heard you can stay on it much longer than that.. Also, you don't have near the side effects that PRednisone gives you.. I don't know if you've ever taken that, but I have and it was awful... I gained 30 lbs and that was only part of it... lol..
