Is this just a flare up?

I have been in remission now for about 3 months, then 4 days ago I starter to get diarrhea. Here we go again i thought. I have had Diarrhea since and I am going over 10 times a day. I have had flares before so this seems usual. The only thing thats bothering me this time is im getting pains starting just above my belly button and tend to work their way down. Its a bit like a strong bellyache/constipation. My belly also seems swollen and hard. My specialist is away on holiday so i called my docs today to find that one is also on holiday and the other had a day off. The only appointment I could get was with a nurse. I went to see her and she had a feel of my tummy and said she thinks its a standard flare and just see my specialist when he is back a week today. This pain is so uncomfortable im not convinced its just a standard flare.


what does everyone else think?

Thanks Nanners, knew I could count on you to be along so soon with fantastic advice and knowledge. The pain does come on and off but as im male I am lucky enough to never feel labour pains. I thought it was a partial obstruction but when the nurse felt my tummy would she have felt something to indicate this? Also the pain comes when im eating and my food seems to just sit in my stomach.

I know this sounds weird but its as though my stomach is giving me a choice.... Do I have to throw my food back up? or send it though my digestive system. I know that must sound crazy but thats the only way i can explain it
