well that didn't last long...

I've been off prednisone for approximately 3 days and already I can't get out of bed, my stomach is huge and puffy and I'm in a lot of pain with D. Does this mean imuran is out the window for me?
I have an appointment with my GI tomorrow morning... do you think she will just put me back on prednisone? I really don't like the idea of starting this stupid cycle all over again! I was being so careful with what I ate too... I missed my first day of class this semester at school :(
ETA: My stomach feels huge and like there is alot of air trapped in there... earlier I wasn't passing gas or going to the bathroom but since around 3 hours ago I have had D and some gas escaping. Could I have a partial obstruction? I'm not nauseous at all... blah!!!

I know when I came off prednisone I didn't feel so hot. Almost as if my body needed a few days to recover because I was on it for a few months. See if your GI will let you stay off it for another day or two to see if your symptoms subside a little bit. I know it took me some time.

Thanks for the replies guys.... I haven't eaten except for boost since sunday and I feel a tiny bit better. Maybe she will let me go on entocort instead of prednisone? That would be good. I don't think this is just an adjustment period because I feel about as bad as I did before I went on the pred, and I did experience those each time I bumped down 5 mg after 20 mg and they were never that bad.
