This is the 4th "bubble" I have had on my incision site. They fill up with fluid, 2 broke on their own and dried up, one the dr.debreeded(?) and I had to pack til it healed, and this last one formed a big yellow head, broke and yellow stuff keeps filling it. I called the doc. and he wasn'tin, so she told me to put freekin neosporin on it? Wouldn'tyou think I need an antibiotic or something?

What are those from? Noone has seen fit to really explain that.

I don't have any information to offer you in regards to what it is or what you should do about it.  However, I can tell you that Neosporin is an antibiotic, so that part of your question is answered. :)

You had your surgery in February? It doesn't sound normal that you are having those issue so far post op...Is there another doctor you can call? You need an oral antibiotic....at the very least! Since this is the 4th one something is going on and needs to be stopped!

Your incision is infected; puss is the yellow stuff. Neosporin has like three different antibiotics, so it's a start till you see the doctor. Watch for redness and swelling in the area and contact your doctor again if you have that. You may have more success with contacting your family doctor if this was your surgeon you tried.

If you've been on steroids recently, you may have more trouble healing properly and need to be even more diligent about watching for signs of infection and keeping the incision clean, etc.

I weaned off the steroids about 2months before surgery. But they still insisted on giving me steroids in the hospital because they were afraid my body wouldn't produce them on it's own. ( that conversation is kinda fuzzy but I think that was what the surgeon said.)

IT is red and swollen and I told her that. I was thinkin oral antibiotic. But hey what do I know? lol

Went to see my reg. docand turns out I have a uti and the antibiotic for that should take care of the other she said!

I have an appt. to see surgeon next week. This is the first time I'm not real happy with him. Altho not really his fault. Nurse was pullin rank!
