This isn't really crohn's related, but in a way, it is...
I injured my hand in a car accident 2 1/2 years ago. Turns out I tore a ligament in it. It (of course) is in a not so typical place in the hand to injure. Anyway, at the time, I had a steroid injection and that took care of the swelling and pain. Fast forward 2 1/2 years, and my hand started swelling and hurting again, in the same place. I returned to the ortho dr, and he did another injection, hoping that since it helped the first time, it'll help now.
Anyway, being a thorough dr (Yay!) he actually looked at my history, and noted that I have CD. He told me that it's possible the ligament never healed and I have a connective tissue disorder since I already have one immune disorder. I told him I wouldn't be surprised since with me, nothing seems to be simple. He may send me to a hand surgeon if the shot doesn't help...which I hope doesn't happen.
So just when I think I've figured out all the things that come with CD, another comes along. I'm not upset or anything, just want my hand fixed again! (Of course it's my right hand and I'm right handed...go figure!)
Do you really think any of us with this DD need OTHER problems? I personally think CD is enough!
