I recently started remicade about 3 weeks ago, I just had my second infusion on monday and ever since that I have felt like I have been hit by a truck. I started with a fever around 99.2 now they are going up to almost 101. is this something I need to let my dr know about? is this normal or what could it be?

I think you really might want to get in touch with your doc to see if you have some kind of infection going on. Good luck and keep us posted. Hugs!

It is pretty common to run a low grade fever for 23-48 hours after getting your infusion and it is something that should be told to your doctor. I usually run aroun 100 for a day and then it goes away but I use tylenol to help get it under control. Are you being premedicated with anything like benedryl or coristeroids? Some people are premedicated with tylenol and your doctor may have you do this. I am premedicated with benedryl and cortisteroids and usually take a hydrocodone 10 after to help with the body aches.

Thanks for the responses. I actually had a severe uti and the remicade treatment made it worse and it went crazy. I ended up running fevers of 103 and even one day where they were 104. I had to go to the er cause I was severely dehydrated and my potassium was very low. I'm still fighting these fevers and trying to get them under control but they arent as extreme anymore
