crohns,hpv,meds

i have not been on here for a long time now but im ready to start writing again. I have been doing very well with my crohns disease being helped by prednisone. Well, my doctor told me after 8 months of being on it its time to come off because its going to hurt me rather then do me good. I was recently diagnosed with HPV which i am m mortified about let alone very embaressed. My doctor wants me to start with 6MP again but that lowers my immune system and im scared its going o keep triggering my HPV and my paps to keep coming back abnormal. I also have been noticing a lot of canker sores in my mouth and i dont know if that is from the HPV or prednisone or stress.

 Can anyone help of give me thier opinion with my situation? im very nervous i am constantly worrying about things.

 

Hi! Don't be embarrased about an HPV. It happends to the most careful and does not indicate to me anything regarding you character. My sister has an HPV and she is not a fast and loose kinda gal! She also has issues with abnormal paps and has had to have a few biopsies because of it. Has he tried you on entocort? It is a more mild steroid than prednisone and has done wonders for me. The upside is that I have had no weight gain so far although since I have an appetite again I do have to watch it and no moon face.
