Hi, I am wondering if there is anyone out there that has used cortenama during pregnancy?   This is my second pregnancy. With my 1st, 3 years ago I had a minor flare up and asacol and rowasa worked great. This time I've had a slightly worse but probably still mild flare up, but the rowasa didn't knock it out so we moved to the cortenema which has worked great. After 3 weeks I am coming off of it now and I am 13 weeks pregnant.  My gastro and midwife are not too concerend about using this, but it's uncomfortable for me, just worried about the baby. Although feeling well is definitely key.

Congrats on your pregnancy!! I haven't used that, but would say generally docs err far on the side of caution. If both are okay with it, that's a good sign. Look at the Rx packaging, what pregnancy category is it? Hardly anything is an A, so I feel comfortable with my cat B meds. I've even been on a cat C this pg (I'm due tomorrow).

Hopefully someone with personal experience will come along.

Thank you for your words! AND CONGRATULATIONS!!!! The cortenema is cat B being that it is a steriod. My docs say the risk is very minimal because its topical and not much is absorbed.
It's great to hear from someone who is pregnant! Have a great delivery!!!! And have fun with the baby!!!

I can't wait for #2 to get here, Due date December 16th.
