Anyone who is on Remicade help me with this?  I am currently waiting to hear if I can be funded for this drug.  Currently I am on Pred and Methotrexate and would like to get off Pred asap.  Will I have to have the Remicade and then taper off Pred or be off Pred before starting the treatment ?

nope you don't have to be off of prednisone, i was still tapering it when they started the infusions

Thanks, did it help ?  Pred keeps things under control but fed up with sugar craving and weight gain.  Also will infusions help with strictures or does it just damped active Crohns ?

If you are responding to prednisone, is there a reason why you aren't going to try imuran first? The remicade did help me initially. I thought surgery was the only way to correct a stricture, but I'm not totally sure about that.
