San Diego Colonoscopy Clinic contamination

I just caught the tail end of a story about 2 hospitals not sterilizing the colonoscopy tools enough and cross contaminating patients. I know that a number of members here are from the San Diego area and may want to look more into it for their own safety. Not trying to panic anyone but I know I would want to know if it happened in my area. I hope no one here has had a scope there. The names of the affected hospitals are Palomar Health Center and its sister hospital at Pomerado. They are claiming that the threat level is low but you should be tested if you have had a scope there recently. If you google the story there is more information.

It happens in a lot of places, even hospitals, though many places try to have at least two scopes on hand. One gets flushed and sterilized while the other is in use.

I'm always the first scope of the day, no exceptions.
