* try to be calm and assertive and not be upset / intimidated by scary doctor, who can be nice sometimes but completely soul-destroying at other times. And I suspect she's going to be the latter at my appointment.
That's it for me. I have a long day with appointments, so everything else is optional.

Ivy, ivy ivy . . . .even though appt's are scary this person is working for you. My strategy with doc appointments is to make the playing field even and accomplish this through list development . . . on of course yellow sticky notes! I often come in with stories, jokes or other methods to break my tension and also to see if I can get the doc to fall off their stool. Have only come close once -but it is a sport after all. One must take all sports seriously! Told my ortho doc recently that sports medicine's motto is "be cured, be healed, be gone". He actually thought that one was pretty funny. Can rarely get the dude to crack a smile and so the torture continues . . . . ha

Thanks, gi. It actually went better than expected, but thanks for the good thoughts and the advice.
Tired now - tlc is to eat, put the cats to bed, and then have a ridiculously early night.
Thanks again.

I have a huge project due tomorrow and here I am at 4 am still awake. I couldn't get to sleep. Gonna go in early, get it loaded online and come home and sleep. That's if all goes well and it uploads correctly. I will be sooooo glad it is done. It's been months of work. The flagyl I am on also made me a bit nauseous, also making it hard to sleep. It will be good to have it all behind me. Ahhhhhhh!!!!! I can almost feel relief!!!!!! Have a great monday!

Ivy -- glad it went better than you thought.
Very rough night last night so #1 goal is to get the kids to nap at the same tine so I can nap.
Otherwise --
shower (done)
pick up those darn pictures from last week
get outside at some point
Worrying I might be flaring a bit but in denial (I cant nurse on some stronger meds but can't take care of the kids if I'm sick). I've gotta take care of myself best I can right now. Thinking of going to an all liquid diet. That usually works for me, but my hubby will freak out with worry at the prospect. I'm just trying to be proactive. So far mostly just food aversion, nauseau, gas and gurgling at my stricture.

(((Inflamed))) I'm not surprised, after the stressful time with your little lad in ICU.
I hope things settle quickly.

Glad your appointment went okay, Ivy. I get quite scared before appointments sometimes, but once I'm actually in the room talking to the doctor my nerves usually fade. I wish I was better at talking to doctors, though; feel like I don't get the best out of them.
I didn't really have any TLCs for today :-/ I took my mum into town and we did a little bit of shopping. Got some groceries. This evening I haven't really done anything. The digital camera which I ordered a few days ago arrived today, however. I am pleased with it :D However, I can't use it until the memory card arrives :-/
