Let's talk about sex

So this might be a weird question but I don't know the answer to this. A few years ago I had a boyfriend who wanted to have anal sex, I already had crohn's but the idea at the time just wasn't the appealing. Then a few weeks ago I was watching a show on HBO, need I say more it had sex scenes. Anyway I have been thinking of this since then and have now worked up the courage to ask. Can people with crohns have anal sex. I have had a few surgeries on the but for abscesses but it has been over a year. Just wondering if I do have a. sex will I end up in the hospital in horrible pain with tearing. Or will it be just like anyone else.

I am sorry if my question was uncomfortable for anyone I just didn't know who to ask and I was curious.

I have crohns, I honestly can say I have tried it, it's not for me, but you can. I guess it's ok as long as nothing is going on with that part of your baby at that time. Like I would probably say don't do it if you have been having terrible D. or having a hard time holding your bowel movements in order to make it to the bathroom. Hope that helps alittle. also make sure you use the proper lubrication so you do not tear anything, make sure to go slowly, and to stimulate the area before doing anything.  They once explained it at a sex toy party, hat there was a proper way to do things, maybe try googling that?

For me personally, there is nothing I wouldn't be willing to talk about! I lost my modesty so long ago with this DD and having children and everyone looking at that area down below it doesn't even bother me anymore. When I go to the gyno or GI, I just lay back and spread em!

On to your question, I think this is a question you would seriously need to ask your GI. The reason I say this is he would know, thru scopes and what not, how much inflamation and scar tissue you would have it that area, plus any problems with fissures, hemi's, and skin tags. I would think any or all of these could interfere with you having anal due to extreme pain and or tearing.

I also had a boyfriend that requested it and I told him that after having scopes with no anesthesia, that there would be nothing going up there that I wasn't knocked out for. I can't even handle the anal exam my Dr's do.
