Got the go ahead from the new GI to start Cimzia and discontinue Remicade.  I'm crossing my fingers, hope this does not cause more leg pain.  Any advice for a newbie to Cimzia?

Not sure about any advice. I have only done the injections myself once (at first it was only nurse that was allowed because it had to be re-constituted.) I was concerned, but they were really quite easy. I've never had any side effects from the Cimzia whatsoever. So I will keep a good thought for you and Cimzia! Good luck!

I just switched back to Humira from Cimzia and man, I forgot how bad Humira hurts compared to Cimzia!  No, Cimzia is great.  The medicine is thick, so it takes a little longer to push it in (and you have to push hard).  Only side effects I had were injection site whelps but they were nothing compared to what I get with Humira.  Best of luck!

I take cimzia with so so results.  No where as good as when i was on remicade.

Why did you switch back to Humira, did the cimzia work for you?

I want to either go back to Remicade or try Humira...but I am scared of a reaction if i go back to Remicade.  (however i have never had a bad reacation with cimzia or remicade)

Thx all for the info. God I hope it works! I really hope it was just the remicade causing all the leg pain. But I think it will take time to get out of my system. I had the infusion 4 wks ago. But I lost responsiveness to it as well. I'm bleeding and having mucuos and just feel like I have 0 energy. Can't wait to start. I hope its not too expensive either.

Are you sure it isn't the immuran causing the leg pain? I wish you well on Cimzia - that is my next step also. Keep us posted on your progress.

Is it the lupus like reaction giving you the leg pain?
