I am a new member and have been suffering from Crohn's Disease for 15 years now. I have been in a flare for the entire time and the doctor's cannot find any medications that work. When I got Crohn's I also developed a hyper-coagulation disorder and that complicates things. I have had rectal abscesses in the past that were removed and drained, but I recently developed one and found out that I have a fistula. The surgeon placed a seton to aide in healing, but now I have a major problem. Is it possible for the seton to become dislodged and come out? I had gone to the bathroom and then hopped into the shower and could no longer feel it. I am a little worried and in tremendous pain to the point where it feels like I want to pass out. I am on a 6 hour pain killer regimen and they don't even touch it. Could I have pulled it loose and/or out when wiping? I have an appointment in the morning but was hoping to hear something to ease my mind in the meantime.
