Curious - how many of us flaring are on a statin medication like Lipitor?

Hi all... I'm just curious how many of you out there are taking a statin drug - Lipitor (atorvastatin), Pravachol (pravastatin), Crestor (rosuvastatin), etc. They are typically cholesterol lowering drugs and are recently being researched into their anti-inflammatory effects. There is a clinical trial right now which is studying the effect of 80mg pravastatin in Crohn's Disease patients. So I figure I'll get some anecdotal information by asking you guys who is on it and whether you are currently flaring or if your Crohn's is in control. My dad swears that his proctitis went into remission about the same time he started Lipitor. I'm actually trying it myself now (off-label). I've had a horrible cold, so it's unclear if I feel better just yet, but I am feeling hopeful. My doctor is going to run sed rate tests to see what happens after a couple of months on it. My sed rate has hovered around 80 for over a year now, so...

Anyway, just thought I'd see if anyone else out there is on one of these meds and how it may or may not have affected their Crohn's symptoms.
