Ever notice side effects of meds?

was discussing that some side effects of the entocort could be...and proceeded to inform my boyfriend in which he also was like ok stomach pain nausea and joint pain can be side effects???isnt that what that is supposed to treat...then I thought about it...pentasa side effects...number 1 is diarrhea second most common side effect is headache (yeah i am on anothe rmed to combat the headaches I get from pentasa)...3rd is nausea followed by abdominal pain....

just makes me wonder sometimes is the pain I am having caused by this DD or the freaking meds for the DD it gets to be a vicious circle

I have that with Morphine, vancomycin (yet the docs insisted on giving it to me again) as well as some other ABs ans anti nausea meds

If I'm wondering the potential of side effects, I tend to look for a clinical trial report which will break down the percentage of patients who experienced a particular side effect based against the percentage of placebo patients who experienced that same side effect. That gives you some indication how much more the drug does over the actual disease. They pharmaceutical companies must report every side effect reported during the trial. If a patient comes in with a headache, it could be completely unrelated but it is then marked down as a potential risk of the new med. And, like Nanners says, there are very scary side effects to tylenol/ibu but we give them to babies even.
