Do you work? Look and see if your state has set up a highrisk medical insurance pool yet. Also, check with your university and see what type of health insurance they offer. Most students don't realize that the majority of universities has some sort of insurance for their students. It is not always the greatest insurance but it is generally pretty affordable and will offer you some help. Also, most universities offer some free medical services at their own free medical clinics. It is usually just basic care but they can help you if you get the flu or more common illnesses. They may be able to help you with finding affordable medical care for your disease too. Are you able to work? If you are disabled, then you can apply for medicare once you are approved for SSDI. There are options for you.
