Stupid ques bout taking off pill cam device

So, I dont know if you guys can help me becaue I'm assuming all the things are a little different.  I did the pill cam this morning (prob somewhere between 10 and 11am).  So it's around 8 hours now.  I feel a little stupid but I was basically asleep when they told me what to do this morning right after I woke up.  They said something about when the light turns red to take it off...but there's two lights!  A blinking blue light, and a steady green light.  The blue light is now slowlllly blinking orange, so I'm guessing that's the "red" button?   But the green light is still going strong?  But I'm thinking it's time to take it off and I just turn the switch off.  I don't know, I'm just paranoid considering I already messed up and couldn't do my colonoscopy this morning I don't want to mess up this at the very end!

So...it sounds like I can take this junk off right? :)

When I had mine I went into the GI Clinic at my local hospital they put it on me and I went back 8 hours and they took it off. During the day I had to make sure it was on by checking to see if the green light was on. My device didn't have two lights. To be safe you should just call the office and speak to the on call doctor and ask them or a nurse. Or keep it on until tomorrow morning and call first thing and ask. Would suck to press the wrong one and have to do it all over again. Wish I could help but seems as though each place has people do it a little different.

Yeah, both lights went off so I just took it off :P Taking all the stupid sticky things off hurtttt!!!

I was confused 'cause my mom kept saying she remembered them saying to take it off when the green light went red, but the blue light went orange, along with a blinking orange light in the front...but once everything went off I figured I was safe :)

I thought I would be able to just bring it back to my doc's when I go in for my remicade infusion on the 20th but I have to bring it back to the hospital tomorrow after work during the day which totally sucks because its a 1-2 hour drive away! My old gi and hospital was only 15 minutes away but I guess it's worth it for better care!

That was the worst part taking them off! The darn glue stays on for days. I tried and srubbed and it just stayed on. Hopefully you don't run into that problem.

Glad you were able to figure it out. Helped that both lights went off so that way you new you would be safe! I can't believe they won't just let you wait to bring it. The 20th isn't that far away. Driving 1-2 hour drive is inane to just drop something off. My GI is about 45min away and I guess would probably have something dropped off right away too. It did take a few days to have him look at it. So hopefully if you drop it off tomorrow you can get your results on the 20th at your Remicade infusion. Best of luck with the results!
