my surgeon told me I could eat whatever I liked after my resection except for brassicas like cauli, cabage etc.
He was right on these but also wrong as I have since worked out that there are actaually a number of foods I don't tolerate post resection that were Ok before e.g. onion, garlic, apples, kidney beans, pears .....
Since I have adopted a FODMAP diet I seem a lot better - less pain and no major flares. Maybe you could get some advice from the hospital/surgeon that did the surgery?
