Pain

(((Sniper))) So sorry to hear you are hurting. I live in Southern California and it has been really damp here lately. I am in so much pain myself because of this weather. Sucks to be getting older, as it feels like everything always wants to be giving me grief. Hoping tomorrow is a better day for us both. Hugs again:)

I am so sorry you are in pain, and I think about the other stuff too, and so please remember you have Cam. You know we are called home, when our mission is completed. You obviously still have something to do here, and only the one upstairs knows what that is.

So on to the physical stuff I would also say do not shy away from taking painkillers. It is worth it for your quality of life. Plus I know heat helps me, I have to admit I use a heated mattress cover, and heated blanket (one of these days it is going to be fried Navy...lol).

I can feel the word you type - "echo" that and over and over again. Very nicely put. It warms me a bit to share the same thoughts as you ... in this time of my life I too feel unworthy and I to ask myself often "WHY" and "WHO or WHAT FOR"... I sometimes wonder what people would say about me if I was gone or not here or if my time "ended" .... we all think of that at some point in our lives...our lowest low or our highest high... as you say..."only time can tell".

Shake my hand and I will pull you in and seal it with ... a HUG!

You know i think of prose that prolific while lost in my own thoughts (your first post), but it never makes it to print quite as well as yours did.

Your wife may have a great need, but she also still has need of her caregiver (if you will).  And for you to be in good shape to take care of her.

Randy, I'm almost one of those old dead guys, but dont think kids will ever read my work . I had lots of trouble in school and writing was not my best subject, unless I drew pictures I got bad grades . Spelling, as Viet Vet will attest to was labeled by one of my teahers as,,,atrocious ! I thought it was a compliment until she made me take my tests on the black board and I had two tries per word. I started writing poetry when I first read Dylan Thomas. My teachers in high school liked my work but said it was dark and brooding. Well duh , so was I. Nam made it worse and I wrote some real dark stuff including my own epitaph. Later my shrink read it and liked it but also asked me to write about something a little brighter. That took some real work, but I did come up with the only poem I have ever had published . I used a pen name to keep from being embarrassed and was very surprised when I got a reply . Guess if Im ever unable to get around or work in my shop I may try to write a childs book. Kids love horror, right ?

If you're wondering what your purpose is --- or why you are here,  consider all the help and smiles you have given the members of this forum over the years.  When I first found this forum in 2005, you were very active and informative, and here it's 2010 and you are still here,  helping out newbies and oldies alike.  My bet is that you are instrumental in saving many lives and minds simply by participating as often as you do on this website. 

By the way, you do have a natural way of describing nature, and it's never too late to become a writer.  Forget about spelling -- that's what editors are for.

Best of mood to you!  You will overcome this.  As to your thoughts on approaching winter: People are staying alive longer every year and,  with global warming,  we could pop right from fall to spring and never see a flake of snow.

I don't even know who I am on this; it's been so long since I wrote anything here.  But that's what makes you important.  I had to let you know you have impact.  You have helped many people through the years ---- keep up the good work!

resections, ectomies, obstructs and short insides -- all that stuff.  nearly died more than once. probiotics, b12, d3, calcium.  can't do imuran, refused humira, believe there's knowledge out there of simpler ways to control this,  but big medicine wouldn't make money if we knew.  More or less in remission for three years or so  -- age 65.  female.

How is your wife doing?

Dunny, wife is doing OK. Stitches came out yesterday and she is healing well. As for the chemo , she is doing ok on it , but we wont have results until they do a pet scan at MD Anderson this Dec. Keep your fingers crossed that the tumor is shrinking,,, OK ? Thanks or asking ...Ohio ,, I'm taking care of myself, I'm just not worth a darn at doing it...

go rent a big house clearing fan or get a buddy with an air boat.. sit on the scooter with the fan in front... not only will it get the dust off but might chear ya up?
