Sunday tlc

2pm Still feeling yuck. Went back to bed for a few hours; may end up sleeping more this afternoon.

Done so far:

* exercise - yes (did it before eating breakfast and getting queasy again; clever me)
* addressed some Christmas cards; written some more
* sorted out receipts; updated accounts; done associated emailing
* found journal for church

i cant believe none of you noticed i was gone! Why was i gone, well i'm typing from a hospital bed. Ran another massive fever (39.1) so ended up in york a and e. Got taken straight through and put in a bed outside the nurses station. 2 paracetamol took and hour and a half to bring it down to normal. Then i got the blood results back and heamoglobin is 84 when it should be 120+. So everything all confused for awhile, then got told at 3am i was being admitted. So its been 4 bags of normal saline plus thousands of bottles of antibiotics through the iv, oh yeah, back on iv steriods as well.
On the plus side, everything seems to be calming back down. CRP level was 130 now 119 when i'm normally 55, urea is low but was done after 8 billion litres of saline. I'm feeling pretty good right now, way more energy and able to walk around abit more. Best bit surgery still on, i wont be released till way afterwards though joyous!

Its been a hell of a weekend, but is definately looking up!

Sunday TLC

* get ward bed on surgery ward
* keep fluids up
* get telly money together
* get card with money on it for telly
* cuddle my new bestest best friend Wilbur (mum bought me a gorgeous new teddy bear with proper teddy bear nose)

Its all not so bad and i dont really blame any of you for not missing me, i was meant to be at a fireworks party afterall!

yep, not being let out now. Currently waiting for a surgical ward bed, which isn't coming up anytime soon! I'm not really botheredat all that no-one noticed you guys all have your own lives and god knows we all have enough with our own crohn's going on, plus everything that lovely disease can bring!

true, but i guess they operate when things are really bad. I'm actually in better shape for surgery now than when i went to a and e. I had to be taken in in a chair cos i just couldnt walk.

Ivy, you actually gave me the strength to go to a and e, it was your voice in my head saying i shouldnt be having fevers ect. So big thanks for that, otherwise i'd still probably be struggling at home with it all. xx

i'm still hanging around in admissions which isnt quiet at all, but should get moved to a surgical ward in the morning. Its pretty boring right now, but i dont have a tv, technically i'm a 'long term' patient on admissions cos you usually only stay a few hours whilst you get a bed on a normal ward. Felt abit rough this afternoon, think its all the antibiotics i'm getting. 2 4times a day, one twice a day, plus hydrcortisone several times a day. think its all starting to frustrate abit. i blew one cannula after one day, been getting so much through it.

Still, i'm in the best place for it all. I'm going to head off for the night, its 22.41 here and i'm pooped! tiny bit of time on the ds so i can lie down properly as i've just finished my antibiotics for today at least!
