* go to ridiculously early meeting
* get takeaway for lunch, if I'm completely wrecked after early morning. If not, maybe buy a steak and cook it.
* rest 'n' read
* go to appointment
* do some gentle exercise, but don't overdo it
* do a bit of housework, but give myself permission to live in mess if necessary
* sleep

Bonus:
* post letters
* go to post office and pay bills
* do the foot tlc I didn't do on Wed
* do some paperwork

Put sinue out to dry
run new line for kiln
change plug on kiln
hopefully test run kiln
Work on bow
fix widow in greenhouse

Thursday TLC's:
*continue to make $$!
*continue to not have panic attacks in traffic
*look forward to the weekend
*enjoy that finally I don't have nausea all the time

I'm very optimistic at the moment. Today was a much better day. Yes, traffic was a nightmare, but I'm making a paycheck, so I'm happy. We also got answers to a lot of questions, and I actually did some xrays. It was nice finally contributing!

Sniper, I'm guessing the rain has left? Enjoy your sunshine!

Oh, I'm so glad to hear that, Becky.

I've done the early morning meeting, which was good, and have posted the response to the ridiculous hospital letter, and have bought a steak and eaten it. And I'm tired, but still have appointments to get through this pm.

Have you decided what you'll use your kiln for, Sniper?

Yep, no rain today...wooohoooo. Kiln will be used mostly for heat treating rocks for flintknapping, buttttt , I may try my hand at making a few clay pots of the old hand made type. Nothing like something new , right ? There is lots of natural clay down here and I can dig and process my own then make pots ike the indians did . Love those old skills .

Today:

Recuperate from day at hospital/ travel to big city yesterday for ct scan and blood work. It went well and I was not that tired either. Whoo,hoo!!
Wash clothes and bed linens. Still having night sweats.
Hook up skype for interview next week!!!!
Tidy up bedroom
Read and try to enjoy this relaxing time without going nuts and being bored.
Take shower
Do some bill paying. Ugh!
Cook something for supper.

Sniper, I had an aunt who used to make and paint beautiful china. Wish I had gotten one of her kilns and tried my hand at it. You sound so talented!! I tried doing pottery a while back and it bothered my hands something awful.
Becky, so glad to hear the new job is going well. Hang in there.

Jeanneac,,I dont know about talent but I am not afraid to try new things because I dont fear failure. We learn more from error. Anyway, making a pot gives me an excuse to play in mud ...

Why do you need to heat stone before knapping it?

Ivy , some stone becomes a bit more brittle with heat treating. Guess you can say it breaks a little easier . Because some of the work is done by pressure flaking or pushing small chips off with a deer antler tip, this makes it work with less force and it is easier on the hands. Native Americans buried stone like chirt or novaculite beneath camp fires or baked them in holes in the sides of hills to achieve those results. Temps up to 800 degrees are needed for some stones with the exception of obsidian (volcanic glass) . Guess you can see why it needs no more heat . I get a big kick out of doing something that has been done for thousands of years .
