1st remicade treatment--getting a little worried

I had my 1st infusion today. I felt a little dizzy during it, but think that was the benedryl. Got home, felt kind of funny, and took a nap. When I woke up I was flushed and dizzy again, took some zyrtec and tylenol, which helped. Now I'm itchy.

I'm trying not to worry. :-\ Can someone look in their crystal ball and tell me it'll be fine tomorrow?! Seriously though, any idea what to expect? I can deal with taking antihistimines for a couple of days. Just trying not to worry my body's gearing up for a full out rebellion.

How are you feeling this morning Sarah ? I think if you were going to have a full blown reaction you would know by now. I had a small reaction about 3 years ago and they started a pre med on me . Haven't had trouble sense. Hope your feeling better...

I'm still itchy, and feeling a little tired. It definitely helps when I take an antihistimine, so that's good. I'm sure it'll all be fine, but doesn't stop my overactive imagination from worrying!

If they aren't having you at an antihistamine with the benedryll before the infusion, they may want to start. That tends to keep these sorta symptoms to a minimum.

I was a little itchy from the 1st and 2nd, just a little itchy around fingers, then I would get what I thoght was a spider crawling around on my lower legs, just above my ankle, I would reach down and pull down my sock or lift up pant leg to see and nothing, so I figured it was the rem doing that, I'm soon doing 5th and it stopped

This sucks. I"m beyond tired. Everything aches. This is what was happening to me with the humira. It would take a week before I felt like it wasn't a major battle to get out of bed, and then another battle getting through the day at work. I hate this feeling so much I'd *almost* rather just have to go to the bathroom 10 times a day.
