* exercise (done 10 minutes so far)
* more cleaning in the kitchen
* toss some stuff from the freezer; start cleaning out both fridge & freezer
* make bed
* appointment
* write legal letter
* prep stuff for postage


Lots of storms here, so apologies for not writing much today. I can only be online for a few minutes at a time, between storm fronts.

Well i'm totally wrecked! Went to panto last night so it was 1am by the time i got to bed! Panto was dick wittington, which i had never heard of or seen before so it was actually really really good. Course it was opening night so they had a few kinks still to be worked on. Not every mike worked properly, and a few people forgot their lines or talked over each other, but they kept it all going and it made it funnier! We even won a box of chocs in the raffle. Not bad i think! Mum got two tickets for free cos she cleans the village hall and does alot extra to help out (she gets paid as well). All in all a good night although we went into the local pub to thaw out afterwards ( was really really cold by then and the car was parked outside the pub anyway). My aunt was inside and honestly, it was all about her. Her dog, her son's wedding, her kids took her out, her son going to new zealand on saturday ect ect. I was told by many that i looked great but i doubt i did as by then it was 11pm and i was so tired. I go white when i need to go to bed!

Tuesday TLC

* nap
* stop eating the box of chocolate
* eat some proper food
* drink
* ring my college and tell them the letter they wanted by tomorrow is caught in the mail when really its being mailed today
* prep to go to the vets for gucci and coco's pre-op for being neutered
* move my entire savings into my current account to pay the vet bill for paddy

I've never been to a proper panto before. Closest was Peter Pan at the National Theatre (er, I think it was that one) a few years ago, which I really enjoyed <_<. I miss going to the cinema and theatre actually. Not that I ever went a lot, but nowadays I never go :-/

Anyway, my today's TLCs are over! Got a shower, wrote my email (at 3:30am last night as it so happened), stopped in at the garden centre, did the Waitrose shop. It's not particularly relevant to anything, but I'm loving the winter weather at the moment. All the snow has gone, but what we are getting instead is mist - mist and frosts. Every blade of grass, leaf and tree is outlined in white frost. It looks like something from a winter fairytale, well at least when you are driving through countryside it does. Cold and a pain to de-ice the car, but so worth it.

What do your storms consist of, Ivy? Rain and wind?

Took the cats to the vets and the vet made me feel like a really bad owner, cos they are 6 months but havent been vaccinated or wormed. They dont go out, at all. So lecture 1, then she said they were really fearfull and that was our fault as well cos we didnt socialise them properly when they were babies. Lecture 2. She asked what we fed them, and we said kitten food with a tiny bit of adult food with kitten milk. Lecture 3.

We couldnt even get Paddy's ashes back cos i only had 190 quid to pay them and the final bill was 235. Only good thing was the Cat Protection York is running an offer for people on means tested and low income people to neuter their cats for a fiver which a HUGE discount especially for the females. So i have to ring them tomorrow to see if i qualify so fingers crossed for me! It would mean i could get them both done at the same time plus jabs, then in the new year get them both chipped.

Bit deflated, but its a good job done, plus possible mega savings!

Hey all!
I've been mia for a few days, mostly because I've just felt drained since Saturday (and also probably because I'm getting close to needing another B12 injection). I'm going to go to sleep early tonight, so hopefully when I get home tomorrow I have more energy and focus to reply to everyone.

It's been so cold here...and it came on suddenly. On Thanksgiving it was almost 70 degrees, now it's going down in the low 20's at night and has been really windy during the day. I think my body is trying to adjust to the sudden temperature drop. I might add, it's times like now that I'm thankful for my space heater that warms my feet so quickly!

How have you all been feeling? Choc, do you feel like you're gaining strengh after having surgery? Ivy, how do your joints do in the heat? Any difference between now and when it was cold by you?

Geez. I'd have thought that they were still fearful because they started out as ferals?

Just a short note. Lots of rain here and the house flooded again (from the top down!) but luckily I was home and was able to catch it and start cleaning up because the mess got out of control, as it did last time.

I'm popping out to coffee with a friend, errands and appointments, but will try to be back later (weather & energy willing) with a Wed tlc thread.
